Motion is a multi-faceted artist, spanning the worlds of music, literature, media and arts education. She is the instructor of Women with Wordz and has helped all these wordsmiths reach the next level of their writing.

Roots Kizzy’s passion to have her powerful words penetrate minds for meaningful thinking, describes her floetic heart-felt lyrics. Full of honesty, her beauty shines realness through her words. She is a natural. New upcoming artist on the spoken word scene, Roots Kizzy is an inspiration for the young and the old, working heard to have her words heard all over the world. Quiet but powerful, calm yet dramatic, Amber’s words blaze the page, painting portraits of pain, love and truth. She flows slick and melodic with a voice that ricochets off the eardrums and pierces the mind. She recently completed the Artist’s Mentoring Youth (AMY) project and will continue tackling art in all its life forms: writing, designing, illustrating.

Maltia is passionate about reading, writing and her 1 year old daughter. Loyal, kind and sometimes stubborn, Maltia enjoys writing in her journal daily, as well as creating poetry. She comes out to the writing circle to share her thoughts and hear what other people are writing. Her dream for her writing is to write her own memoir some day.

With the greatest love and respect for life Miss Cola embraces life’s challenges to the fullest. Always ready and willing to help, she is independent, she is a storyteller, she is the truth. She will give it to you real. Always smiling, her love for God, music and writing shines through. Check out her autobiography soon to come. Through Shanae’s words come an array of experiences in her life struggles. Full of flavour and internal rhyme, her lyrics take you through a storyline. Miss Shannae aka Miss Essence, paints a picture that you can see, smell, hear and feel. Words so poetic, they drift seamlessly over the melody of life. A loving mother featured on Yo Magazine and Embassador for young mothers, she hopes to reach the lives of those entangled in a hurricane of emotions that restricts them from over coming the storm, with spoken word, and a radio show.

There are a lot of paths in life for people to take – some choose the good, and some choose the bad. People love and people hate, and that you cant change. Tysian’s passion is writing about her life and what she’s been through. Everyone can write a story, but not everyone can tell a story. Tysian is about her life, and not what people think her life is. Vibrant, respectful and devoted, Tysians dream for her writing is to write her own novel or book by the age of 25.

A Creative Writing graduate, Whitney has left her academic teachings of ‘what is good writing’ and has embraced a more stream-of-consciousness approach to her work. She writes short stories, plays and poetry.
